The Office of Priestly & Religious Vocations invites you to celebrate Priesthood Sunday on
September 29, 2024. The lay faithful of each parish, school or other ministry can show their appreciation
in their own special way for the priests at your parish.
Grandparent's Day at St. Joseph School! Thank you to all of our grandparents! You did an incredible job raising your kids, who have become wonderful parents to our students. We are so grateful and honored to work alongside them in the important mission of nurturing, educating, and developing the faith of your grandchildren. It was a beautiful morning!
"Grandparents are the memory of a family, the memory of a country, the memory of the faith, because it is they who give it to us."
On August 14th, we are thrilled to welcome hundreds of visitors from all over to St. Joseph Church for a special opportunity to venerate and pray with the Apostle of the Impossible, whose relic will be on display.
Have you met our new Priest in Residence, Father Callistus "Cally" Ojike?!
We are blessed to have him here at St. Joseph, to celebrate Masses while he serves on the Spiritual Care Team at Mercy Medical Center Redding where he began in November 2023.
The Marthas provide a free meal for parishioner family and friends following a funeral or Memorial Mass. We provide a luncheon-type reception in the church basement so that the bereaved may gather and celebrate the life of their loved one and share a meal at no cost to them. We pray that doing so will alleviate some of the emotional and financial strain such an event places on families, as well as provide them with the love and support of our parish community. To continue this compassionate ministry, we always need additional volunteers – men and women.
Using the teaching of St. John Paul II, students and parents will learn how each of us are created in love and for love as a gift; and ask questions about the real purpose of life.
