The Veneration of the Relic of St. Jude | August 14, 2024
Straight from the Vatican, the first time ever leaving Italy, the relic of St. Jude the Apostle’s arm was in Redding on one of its last stops in America. When things in life seem hopeless, unbearable, and despaired of, St. Jude is the one to whom people often turn.
1000s showed up at St. Joseph Church on Wednesday to see and pray in front of this relic - his arm bone, that surely touched his cousin Jesus in a handshake, a pat on the back, or an embrace of brotherly love. Saint Jude, one of Jesus' 12 Apostles was present at the Last Supper.
These photos show the Redding community experiencing St. Jude's transformative presence.
